Ekipi (“we”, or “us”) respects the privacy of our constituents. In order to better protect your privacy, we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected when you visit ekipi.org (the “Website”). This Privacy Policy works in conjunction with the Terms of Use.
Information We Collect and How We Use It: In the course of using the Website, we may collect your email addresses for our email list, payment information for donations, and certain personal information when you sign up to get involved. We may also aggregate non-personal information about how the Website is used. We use IP addresses (which are not linked to personal information of any individual user) to analyze trends, administer our website, track volume of usage, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use; this information helps us measure the number of visitors to various sections of this website and to help make the website more useful.

In-kind Donation Policy

Ekipi solicits and accepts gifts / in-kind donations that are consistent with its mission and that support its core programs, as well as special projects.

Donations and other forms of support will generally be accepted from individuals and organizations.

Ekipi is best equipped to receive donations of sports gear, apparel, and accessories. Other types of donations will only be accepted upon approval of the Board that governs Ekipi.

Ekipi urges all prospective donors to seek the assistance of personal legal and financial advisors in matters relating to their gifts, including the resulting tax and estate planning consequences.

Ekipi will assign a fair market value to donated items for its own accounting and reporting purposes. Ekipi is not obligated to share this value with donors.

Ekipi recommends donors to refer to IRS Publication 561, Determining the Value of Donated Property and discuss any tax implication with their tax consultants.

Ekipi does not accept undergarments, inner apparel, socks, large items, and items in not usable condition. etc. Ekipi reserves the right to reject a donation based on these or other conditions.

If Ekipi is not able to distribute donations via its program, it reserves the rights to sell and utilize the proceeds as cash funding. In some cases, Ekipi might in turn donate them to other organizations.

Ekipi thoroughly reviews and cleans donated items, before distributing them via its programs. Anytime during the process, Ekipi can determine that specific items cannot be used in its mission and reject such item.
